Global Business Payments Leader Recognized by Prominent Publications and Industry Organizations
PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 26, 2019-- FLEETCOR Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FLT), a leading global business payments company, today announced a series of awards and distinctions for growth, innovation and leadership excellence. The recent recognitions include the Company’s placement on the 2019 Forbes Global 2000, an annual ranking of the world’s largest public companies. FLEETCOR was also among the top 250 companies based on market value on the Fortune 1000, where the Company’s overall rank increased for the third consecutive year as a result of continued strong financial performance.
FLEETCOR continues to pilot new payment solutions that ‘go beyond’ a customer’s core offering. As part of its Beyond Toll efforts in Brazil, FLEETCOR is enabling approximately 1.5 million toll users to pay for fuel using their RFID toll tag. The Company’s drive-thru payment pilot with McDonald’s saw total transactions grow from zero to 65,000 during March 2019 alone, with 200 locations now accepting payment via FLEETCOR’s RFID solution. For its Beyond Fuel effort, the Company is ‘opening up’ fuel cards to enable non-fuel purchases through a single payment solution. Over 5,000 FLEETCOR customers are now making non-fuel purchases as part of the pilot launch.
These and other innovative initiatives continue to earn the Company additional distinctions. The 2019 American Business Awards named FLEETCOR the Most Innovative Company of the Year for the second consecutive year. The awards follow FLEETCOR’s recognition as a silver winner in the Most Innovative Company of the Year – Large category by the 2018 Best in Biz Awards, the only independent global business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications from around the world.
The first half of 2019 also saw members of FLEETCOR’s leadership team honored for their contributions to the Company’s growth and success. At the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 12th annual CFO of the Year Awards, FLEETCOR Chief Financial Officer Eric Dey earned top honors as the 2019 CFO of the Year for his financial leadership and achievements. Additionally, Crystal Williams, Chief Human Resources Officer at FLEETCOR, was named a finalist in the Chief Human Resources Officer category in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s inaugural HR Excellence Awards.
“These recognitions validate our efforts to build a company and team that delivers long-term value for both the customers we serve and our stakeholders,” said Ron Clarke, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FLEETCOR. “Innovation across all of our businesses remains a top priority for 2019 and beyond.”
